Non-Classical Gung Fu

Jesse was initially invited to Europe around 1980 to provide private lessons to Keith Kernspecht and give seminars for his organization. These visits to Europe gained Jesse recognition that would eventually lead to bigger things.

In 1991 Swiss martial artist, Pierre Hartmann, came to Seattle and met both Ed Hart and Jesse Glover. This meeting started a long-term relationship that would eventually help popularize Non-Classical Gung Fu in Europe. Pierre began to train and teach NCGF full time under his own moniker, Non-Classical Kung Fu (NCKF) to differentiate his style from Jesse’s. 

Over the next 20+ years, Pierre organized annual seminars for Jesse in Geneva, Switzerland and other parts of Europe, helping promote NCGF to new students.

Additionally, in the 1990s, other European instructors came to Seattle to meet and train with Ed and Jesse, and in-turn hosted Jesse in Europe as well: notably Ingolf Grabitz and Andreas Hackel.

Today in Europe, people continue to teach and pass on the ideas, processes and lessons they learned from Jesse. Each student has his own method, curriculum and interpretation of NCGF based on their personal experience and unique training time with Jesse.
